We seem to be flying all over everywhere this summer. Amazing opportunities, new experiences, and a lot of hard work. A weekend off on the calendar was an incredible gift and lucky for us it came with an invite to Rehoboth Beach. I looooove Rehoboth! It’s been an annual rite of summer the last few years with Julie & Don so kind to invite us out for R&R. This year I even got them in front of the camera… check the lovey-dovey pair below.
The weekend always includes a ridiculous amount of great food, terrific wine, and late afternoons on the beach. This year it included biking to Dewey Beach for the Dozenth Annual Running of the Bull… a bunch of silly drunk people in white with red sashes chased down the beach en mass by an exhausted pair in a bull costume. It was one of the funniest most useless things I have ever seen. I loved it!
Many thanks to the wonderful people at the Green Man every morning (try the Healthy Elvis), Jay and Espuma (my favorite restaurant in Rehoboth!), sister restaurant Porcini House and its fabulous upper deck, Shawn & Danielle at Confuscious (best Chinese food in the entire US), and terrific local bookstore Browseabout Books. Of course, with Jodie along, no trip to the beach is compete without at stop at Cantler’s on the way. Mountains of fried seafood for him, steamers for Julie & Don, and a grilled cheese and hush puppies for everyone’s favorite vegetarian…
