I love unbridal shoots. Whenever we travel to shoot a wedding I always include an unbridal shoot as a thank you for the bride and groom and these shoots are always sooooo much fun! The day after the wedding any pressure is gone and we can just play and celebrate the first day of the rest of their lives together. I love it!
In most cases the bride wears her wedding dress. The big secret is that most dresses, with the exception of duchess silk satin, survive a little sand and water just fine. The trick is to be sure that your dry cleaner knows that the dress has been in salt water. But in Ashley’s case the dress went straight to the cleaners to be ready for her reception back in Denver. Instead she wore the cutest little white Calvin Klein dress for our romp om the Santa Monica Pier. Brian even let me talk them onto a tandem bike for the ride down to Shutters. I just love these two…
