The last wedding of the year is always a little bittersweet. I love photographing weddings. I love getting to be there to capture all the joy and laughter and tears and occasional craziness. It’s just the most wonderful way to spend a day. Of course, we also work our little rears off, so you might think that finishing for the year would be exciting. Nope. Love it too much and will miss it desperately in the weeks before we start up again for 2009.
But… wow did we finish 2008 with a bang! Morgan & Mike’s wedding was a complete joy! Morgan was a vision, Mike couldn’t have been any more adorable, their families completely captured my heart, there was even some seriously blue hair. That’s dedication to a theme! And… Morgan let me photograph her smoking. I love contrast in photos. Morgan & Mike walking downtown after the wedding, they are the picture of grace. But I have to admit that it’s her beautiful back, the arc of her arm, and that cigarette that’s my favorite.
