Gus & Kenny… unleashed!

I love animals. Really, anything with four legs and fur and my heart is gone the minute they walk in the door. Gus & Kenny, especially Gus, knew I was an easy mark as soon as they saw me. I think it took abut thirty seconds before Gus was in my lap… and he’s a big boy! Nothing could have made me happier.

There are a lot of reasons I’m excited to be in the new studio, not the least of which is ‘a room of one’s own‘ which I can’t deny that I think Virginia Woolf got just right… but… possibly even more than that… I am so excited to come back to where I began years ago… the dogs! Getting back into the studio in our wonderful space with loads of animals coming and going is heaven. Pure heaven. Most recently occupied by the truly charming Gus & Kenny…

r. j. kern - dash would be proud of your great studio work!!! great black and white candids… that’s the great thing about our beloved canine friends: they can’t be posed and you captured some awesome expressions!. i always think of it as photojournalistic push-ups for our brain :)
