Dante… unleashed

Dante’s parents need to let him go tomorrow. It’s heartbreaking, and always is, to know when it is time to let an old friend pass on. There’s no easy way to make the decision. I sit here trying to type, but feeling the love just as strongly as the loss while tears roll down my cheeks. It’s never easy to join a family to do end of life portraits. It’s also an incredible gift to be invited to do so.

This is beautiful Dante. Gentle and furry and incredibly well loved. He’s having trouble getting around, but loves it when everyone comes to him. Add me to the long list of people who send their hearts with him…

Abby Gray - I’m so so sorry for them. We just had a session like that of our own with our five year old Golden. My heart is still in shambles, but the gift you’re giving them is so precious. I hope Maddox and Dante get to romp around together. My heart truly goes out to this family.

Scott - I just had one of these for some friends of mine as well. It was really hard but I know how much it meant to them as well. It always brings me to tears anyway.

David Drufke - That’s so sad. He looks like he was well loved.
