CaraMae & Matt got married! (Devil’s Thumb Ranch Wedding)

Beautiful day, beautiful bride, hilarious groom and groomsmen… Devil’s Thumb Ranch itself seemed to be celebrating with CaraMae & Matt and their families. And I feel so incredibly fortunate to have been there to capture it! Every little detail from CaraMae’s braid and pockets (yes, pockets on her gown!) and cowboy boots to the gorgeous Pick Me flowers and the guys and their JD and the cookies CaraMae baked as favors and the family recipes as gifts… everything was just delightful! I would go to this wedding every day…

Carla & Josh… got married! (Crested Butte Wedding Photography)

I love old traditions… and new ones. Carla’s family has been doing a Crown Royal toast for the groom before the wedding since her dad got married. From the same bottle no less. And this one didn’t disappoint. It was the most amazing lead in to the ceremony. The group photos were topped off by Carla’s grandma’s inclusion of the traditional Groucho glasses. And then maybe a new tradition riding cruiser bikes into Crested Butte for the reception. Sooooo much fun!

But, as always, it’s Carla & Josh that stole my heart. And Apollo too. And Carla’s fantastic dress. And darling grandparents… Well, there was a lot to love…

I looooooved Betsy & Tony’s wedding! Shannon and I just had a blast and Betsy & Tony were about the most fun you could imagine! Tony is the infamous groom who arrived at the ceremony wearing the bride’s veil. And Betsy’s such a good sport! Watching them you could see how much joy they have in every moment together and what amazing parents they will be someday.

And now The Knot loves their wedding too! Betsy & Tony are the Real Wedding of the Week on theknot.com! I may be doing the Snoopy happy dance all weekend…

Everything started innocently enough. Really it did. We headed down to Galveston and off to the Strand and then San Luis Pass. And sure it was beautiful and all…

But then Jessi & Mike are so in love and so incredible together and then there was the water and… well… I can’t be held responsible for this kind of sexiness…

Julie & Marc… got married! (Devil’s Thumb Ranch)

There’s true love. And endless love. And then add to that the kind of love that envelops two families and creates a whole new story all its own.

Every part of Julie & Marc’s wedding was just breathtaking. Welcoming everyone to Colorado, Julie’s custom dress perfect for their ranch wedding, grandmother’s cake topper… The ketubah signing had me crying with everyone else. And I love the photo of Julie’s parents holding hands during the ceremony, her hand sans ring since Julie was married with her mother’s ring. This was the kind of joyful wedding that has you wanting to relive it again and again and again…

The McLellans in Hanalei…

I’m addicted to Hanalei’s beaches. And what could be better than heading out to play with a joyful family? I met the McLellans at Charlotte & Jon’s wedding and we went out a few days later to take advantage of everyone being in Hawaii together. And oh such fun! Dutch was giggly and hilarious, Ethan was a live-wire running everywhere, and Barbara the stunning matriarch… Everyone was just amazing! Thank you soooo much for coming out to play…

If you’ve been out on a shoot with me you know that I get giddy when everything is going terrific. I love that feeling. I wish I could bottle it up. I’m lucky that it comes back as I review the photos and get ready to post them here. It’s my sincere hope that some of that joy comes to you too…

I’m addicted to Hanalei and Charlotte & Jon. I’ve never thought of myself as a beach person, more just wide open spaces wherever they may be. But there’s something about Hanalei and the beaches… and the way that love, true love, shows in every way that Charlotte & Jon move together. Charlotte took my breath away and the two of them captured my heart. And I think I may have left part of my heart with the romance on this beautiful island…

Charlotte & Jon… got married!

I just can’t make up my mind. Charlotte & Jon’s wedding was gorgeous and joyful and funny and, well, everything! I just have no idea where to start to describe it…

Maybe I’ll start with about the cutest little green church I have ever seen in my whole life. It’s smack in the middle of Hanalei where Charlotte has been going on vacation at her grandfather’s house her whole life. What better place to have a wedding? All of the guest received leis to wear and after the ceremony we went back to the old mission house for some wickedly romantic portraits. Charlotte & Jon are sooo wonderful together!

Then off to Charlotte’s grandfather’s house for the reception… Starting with hula lessons on the lawn! It was awesome and Jon was absolutely hilarious trying to keep up with all the gorgeous women in his new family who’ve been doing this their whole lives. Charlotte was ever the patient new wife… I was in stitches. And the party! So much fun that apparently the cops were called in. This was a fantastic wedding and it was such a joy to be there to capture it!
