If you’re one of my clients you know that I’ve been quietly shooting boudoir for a few years now. The terrific folks at Mile High Photographers even invited me to teach a boudoir workshop last February. Most of the brides I photograph for request these sessions and the grooms are always blown away! I get such a kick out of their faces and how surprised and tickled they are by a gift they never expected. And now these shoots are available year round and not just for brides, but for any woman who wants to celebrate everything that makes us, in the words of Dr. Angelou, phenomenal women…

Believe me, I am just dying to show you more!!!! But I can’t. This incredible shoot is a surprise for a very, very, very lucky groom who will receive boudoir photos of his beautiful bride as a gift from her on their wedding day. His own little black book of the woman he loves.

The boots came off… so did most of everything else. Women are incredible, just in the way they breathe and move. And a bride… there’s an energy they bring to the way they feel about love and themselves. It’s magical and contagious and sooooooo incredibly sexy.

Seriously, he’s a lucky guy.

Wow, did we ever have fun! The wonderful folks at Mile High Photographers invited me to come in and teach a boudoir class for a small group of members and I can’t begin to describe what a blast it was. Fifteen photographers, one tiny hotel room, a totally game client… and everyone created stunning images! I felt like a proud momma hen. Seriously, a very talented group. Rachel even got some great shots of me teaching. Yes, that’s me on the floor demonstrating considerate posing for a scantily clad woman… In the background you’ll find Erin from Art & Soul, Andrew of Andrew & Jessica, Jessica and Kevin Bergthold of Kevin B Photo, Dusty of Volkel Image, and Julie from Chris Sharber Photography…

I love doing undone sessions. They’re boudoir photos, but boudoir that embraces the way that the men who love us love us. Laughing with the sheets pulled up, revealing a little behind his dress shirt, his favorite lingerie… It’s the gift for the man who has everything.

And there’s no need to feel self-conscious about these! We reveal only what you want to and really play up the parts of you that you (and he) love. It’s about celebrating the amazing women we are!
